Some Details About How We Work Towards Our Very General Goals:

Training and Learning Together for a Lifetime of Building Positive Associations = 24/7 doing our best, working together in the present moment, to stay  under threshold and maintain distance(s) of comfort via observation and  respect of the individual learner’s present moment body language,  preferences, sensitivities + the following list of possible  activities/exercises/practice:

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST + WE GO AT YOUR DOG'S  PACE +  WE DON'T HAVE TO DO ALL THE THINGS, ALL THE TIME, EVERYDAY -  YOUR DOG  IS A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL WITH NEEDS THAT MAY CHANGE FROM MOMENT  TO  MOMENT!

  • Preference Testing - In the present moment: Who is your dog?/What does your dog like?
  • Learn  to Play Together (Appropriate Dog-Dog and Human-Dog Play) a lot of  opportunities to practice a lot of the basic skills and habits from the following list:

  • Down  practice (Please note: for us, down is usually a voluntary behavior that =  please? ; also, please note, for various reasons down is not always  possible, and for us: 4 on the floor + eye contact + waiting also =  please?)
  • Food  Puzzles, Snuffles, Kongs, etc = nose games + problem solving = brain  games + a chance to practice basic skills like eye contact +  wait/impulse control practice + mark and then reward with the brain game  activity = another opportunity for additional relationship building

Dogs do so much for us humans...

Life is short, health is temporary, time is precious...

The present moment is the youngest that anyone will ever be...

Dogs are sentient beings full of emotions and unique personalities.

The relationship with dog(s) has the potential to be sacred - Let's get to know the dog in front of you, for who they are in the present moment, and do our best to meet their individual needs - the study of one!
