Paloma is very friendly towards most people - she has a lot of love to give and she wants to be your one and only! (only dog, no other animals)
She is an absolute sweetheart towards most people, but she might bite a dog that she doesn't like! (observed history of aggression and biting towards dogs that she doesn't like, aggression and biting when she feels unsafe)
Paloma likes her peace and quiet - she very greatly values her personal space from other dogs, and feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally safe, so she struggles a lot in traditional kennel environments with other dogs. Not all dogs do well in kennel environments - Paloma is a living dog with a lot of emotions, feelings, opinions! Paloma's standard is the standard, so especially if she observes things below her standard, she will definitely tell you what she thinks and how she feels - after all, she is a Princess! 👸
Paloma can be very caring, extremely affectionate, playful, silly, full of love and she is looking for that human (or family!) that she can attach to, be with, as much as possible - she very strongly wants to give all of her love to her human(s) - she loves being with people. She seems to absolutely love petting and attention from humans! When she gets excited, she can make some very cute and endearing snorting sounds 🥰
Paloma is very good at putting on her harness + leash, and she likes going for sniffing walks and hikes - much like Wonder Woman, Paloma has a lot of impressive muscles and she can run fast - Paloma is very physically strong and athletic. She can be adventurous and loves going on field trips where she can explore the world while feeling safe.
She loves chewing single ingredient chews and greatly appreciates getting paid for doing good with high value food rewards. She is can be very good at eye contact and checking in - Paloma enjoys playing the name game and runs over super enthusiastically when we practice recall - we are having a lot of success in lower distraction environments like indoors and the backyard - we still have a lot of work to do before being super reliable in high distraction environments, but we're making a lot of awesome progress!
Paloma has a very strong tail, and her tail wags can do damage! ...Watch out sensitive body parts and any fragile items in Paloma's tail wagging range! Her tail wags might clear that coffee table for you! Her butt wiggles and tail wags can be very powerful!
Paloma can be aggressive and bite dogs that she does not like so she is best as an only dog. She will also chase other animals, so she needs a home with no other animals - she wants to be the one and only!.
She seems very interested in other dogs but Paloma seems to be dog selective and may not be good with all other dogs at this time.

Dogs do so much for us humans...
Life is short, health is temporary, time is precious...
The present moment is the youngest that anyone will ever be...
Dogs are sentient beings full of emotions and unique personalities.
The relationship with dog(s) has the potential to be sacred - Let's get to know the dog in front of you, for who they are in the present moment, and do our best to meet their individual needs - the study of one!
