The Dog Decompression Center - Burson, California - Calaveras County
Our comprehensive Dog Decompression Board and Train Reset Program takes place in Burson, California on 40 acres of secluded/private grasslands and rolling hills, established dirt and gravel hiking paths (or the choice to explore and make new paths), 1 big pond, at least 3 smaller seasonal ponds, a facility with modern luxuries + a much more secure fenced yard + more!
The wildlife of Calaveras County + all the farm animals: so many plants and animals, large and small - birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish, etc! ...and their poop! (...so many enrichment opportunities!)

We build our schedule to work with 1 family at a time - we maximize our attention and efforts to your unique Canine Family Member’s personalized Training & Behavior Plan for long lasting results, and enjoyment for everybody!
Our program is comprehensive, taking the time needed to truly bring about behavior change.
We meet with you via Video Call or Phone for the Initial Consultation/Expectation Setting Session
- Set goals and expectations
- Gather information and discuss more specific recommendations + discuss/decide a course of action
- Develop and implement a personalized immediate and long term Training & Behavior Plan for your Canine Family Member
- 4 weeks continued support after session via phone, submitted video, and/or email

The Initial Consultation/Expectation Setting Session is required before your Canine Family Member starts their stay at the Dog Decompression Center.
Payment for the Initial Consultation/Expectation Setting Session goes towards payment for your Canine Family Member's Dog Decompression Board and Train Reset Program or Trial Program.

Step 2: How many weeks at the Dog Decompression Center
Due to the unique nature of our program, we require:
- 3 week minimum for the Dog Decompression Board and Train Reset Program
- Minimum 4 weeks for Aggression cases
The program includes:
- 3 Plus weeks of personalized training, decompression, learning and fun for your dog
- DURING: One 30 minute transfer session per week, by Zoom or phone
- AFTER: One 60 minute transfer session per week stayed (e.g., 4 week stay = Four 60 minute transfer sessions)
- 12 weeks continued support after program via phone, submitted video, and/or email

- We’ll send your dog home with high value food rewards + important items for continuing your personalized Training & Behavior Plan.
- Why is this so valuable? Because your dog will already have a positive experience with the items we’ve used during the visit, saving you time shopping and making your continued work easier.
The Dog Decompression Board and Train Reset Program
Rates for 1 dog:
3 weeks = $1785 per week ($255 per day) = $5355 for 3 weeks
4 weeks = $1715 per week ($245 per day) = $6860 for 4 weeks
5 weeks = $1645 per week ($235 per day) = $8225 for 5 weeks
6 weeks = $1540 per week ($220 per day) = $9240 for 6 weeks
Is 3 Plus weeks too much time away from your Canine Family Member? We have the option for weekends off - pick your dog up for a couple days together! Appropriate breaks can be very healthy, for everybody!

Step 3: What to do during your dog’s time at the Dog Decompression Center?
Dogs are lifelong learners.
To build momentum for your Canine Family Member's progress + continue strengthening your Canine Family Member’s good habits, we transfer the skills we learn to you!
For transferring the skills to you, we find that breaking the sessions into smaller weekly sessions is MUCH easier for everybody.
Among other things, doing everything all at once can be overwhelming for both human and canine learners.
Saving everything until the scheduled pick up day can make it hard to be present and in the moment during the reunion!
During your Canine Family Member’s stay with us, plan for one 30 minute transfer session by Zoom or phone, per week!
