WHAT WILL YOUR DOG DO EVERYDAY AT THE DOG DECOMPRESSION CENTER?
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST + WE GO AT YOUR DOG'S PACE + WE DON'T HAVE TO DO ALL THE THINGS, ALL THE TIME, EVERYDAY - YOUR DOG IS A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL WITH NEEDS THAT MAY CHANGE FROM MOMENT TO MOMENT!
- We go at your dog’s pace for implementing their personalized Training & Behavior Plan
- We do our best to alleviate your dog’s Fear, Anxiety, and Stress - our actions are dictated by observing your dog’s body language in the present moment to get a better understanding of that particular individual’s current emotions and feelings.
- We provide guidance for basic safety, but in general, your dog takes the lead ; your dog dictates our interactions.
- Depending on what your dog eats (and their response), we may suggest exploring other options
- Food Puzzles
- Snuffle Mats
- Lickimats (frozen and/or non-frozen)
- Nose Games
- Appropriate Chewing
- Kongs and/or other frozen and non-frozen enrichment that your dog enjoys - it is up to your dog to decide!
- Engaging in forms of play that your dog enjoys- it is up to your dog to decide!
- If appropriate, we go at your dog’s pace for learning to (at the very least) co-exist peacefully with the Mister Amore + the wildlife of Calaveras County + the domesticated farm animals
- Decompression/Potty/Training Walks + Loose Leash Walking practice = unless otherwise specified all walks are on a Long Line (Options between 15 - 50 feet) + a secure and comfortable harness (Front and/or Back Clipping)
- Taking appropriate breaks/rest/naps
- Drink filtered water
- Do Nothing Time
- Constantly learning about your dog’s unique personality by observing your dog for the sentient being and unique individual they are & doing our best to meet your individual dog’s needs in the present moment!
